Do you have AT&T (previously Cingular) mobile phone service? Unfortunately, SHARK has learned that AT&T is now sponsoring rodeos. Not just any rodeos either--Cingular/AT&T has become a major sponsor and "Exclusive Wireless Provider" for the largest rodeo-sanctioning organization in the world, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Corporate Thugs such as AT&T/Cingular give money to support these contests of cruelty propagandized as "family entertainment." Without financial backing from corporations and welfare from the government, the rodeo industry would never survive. Now AT&T is involved in sponsoring people who commit not only indefensible animal cruelty, but appalling criminal acts. Help put an end to the torture, injuries, and deaths of animals trapped in a bloodsport that hides behind the falsehood of "American tradition" because it can't stand on its own.
Please speak up for the animals and tell AT&T that as long as they continue to support animal abuse, financially or any other way, that you will not renew your cell phone contract. Corporate Thugs that they are, they can't help but listen if consumers are loud enough. Urge AT&T to look at the extensive VIDEOS and photos from SHARK's investigations and remind them that no one should want to be aligned with this sort of pointless and appalling cruelty. Contact AT&T!
Cingular refused and ignored the compassionate pleas from its customers. Likewise, after AT&T acquired Cingular, SHARK sent extensive information to the communications giant. Again, corporate executives hid from any discussion of ethical sponsorship. We urge all animal defenders to terminate their contracts on ethical grounds immediately! Do not allow your money to be given to the greedy hands of those that terrorize animals.
As an alternate wireless provider, please consider switching to Humane Wireless. SHARK has no affiliation with Humane Wireless, but for every dollar you spend on their service a percentage goes to an animal protection organization (not SHARK, unfortunately).
